A Cameo Appearance

An unexpected guest, a quiet mountain town … and a necklace that stirs up old secrets.

When a violent storm forces Ryan Hoffman and his young son to take shelter in the picturesque mountain town of Aspen Notch, Sue Jaworski and her husband, Alan—the local police chief—gladly offer their help. But when Sue learns Ryan has ties to a decades-old unsolved murder, her curiosity is immediately sparked.

That intrigue deepens when Sue, along with her daughter and granddaughter, buys an antique cameo necklace from Trinkets and Treasures—one with a surprising connection to the long-forgotten crime. Alan advises caution, especially with the mayor insisting the cold case stay buried, but Sue can't resist following the clues.

As Sue quietly investigates with her family's help, Aspen Notch's long-hidden secrets begin to surface. Soon, it becomes clear that someone in town is desperate to keep the past hidden—and Sue may be digging too deep for her own good.

A Cameo Appearance is a wholesome cozy mystery with endearing characters and a compelling whodunnit at its heart. If you enjoy Betty Rowlands, Murder, She Wrote, or the classic charm of Nancy Drew, you'll feel right at home in Aspen Notch.
