John Owen The Glory of Christ

Beholding the Glory of Christ

Few works have stirred believers to delight in Christ as deeply as John Owen's classic, The Glory of Christ.

In this profound book, Owen (1616-1683) captures the transformative power of meditating on Christ's glory. He reveals how beholding and savoring this glory molds us into Christ's likeness, filling us with joy, strength, and perseverance. Originally published in 1684, a year after Owen's passing, this book resonates with Owen's own yearning for the perfect, eternal vision of Christ's glory.

With rich insights in each chapter, Owen unveils the "unsearchable riches" of our Lord Jesus-the hope of our glory and the glory of our hope. This timeless treasure is bound to ignite a fresh hunger in readers to know and experience Christ more intimately, echoing the apostle Paul's heartfelt prayer: "That I may know Christ" (Philippians 3:10).

A book to be read and re-read, The Glory of Christ is a guide that remains as relevant and inspiring today as when it was written, beckoning each believer into a journey of knowing Christ more fully.
