In the isolated villages of Meirion, Wales, people vanish without a trace, leaving a quiet countryside gripped by fear. A series of unexplainable deaths occur under horrifying and impossible circumstances—drowned in shallow marshes, shattered on jagged cliffs, slaughtered on empty roads. The press goes silent and fear spreads like wildfire. Is there a monstrous killer lurking in the shadows, or is something far more sinister at work?
As a physician investigates the shocking truth about the mystifying deaths and tragedies, he uncovers a terror beyond human comprehension—a force that defies logic, nature, and even the limits of reality itself.
A masterpiece of suspense and the supernatural, The Terror blends the supernatural, fantasy and horror fiction into a story that would influence future writing in the horror genre for decades.
