Iron Sights Squad
The soldiers picked up their nickname while maintaining a perfect mission success rate. Light and fit to fight, lean on equipment, they're also known to require only a rifle to get the job done. They are the tip of the spear.
But their current mission is on an alien planet where some explorers have gone missing, delaying colonization. Despite teeming with beautiful vistas—the kind that lure dreams of vacation and retirement—the planet is home to dangerous animals that lurk throughout the landscape. They are the most likely suspects.
Minutes before the soldiers fly back to Fort Beckett, a shadow blocks the sun, and their aircraft crashes, resetting the squad's success rate to zero.
The mission changes from search and rescue to survival, with a long trek back to base. Without reliable comms, they are the only ones who know what happened.
Except for what is stalking them.
