Getting demoted to Central Park was bad enough, but accidentally becoming a wizard? That's a whole new kind of paperwork.
Detective Eddie Berman wants his old life back. Since a botched bust landed him and his partner in the Central Park Precinct, he's been dreaming of real detective work—and a long-overdue trip to Aruba.
But when a grisly murder investigation leads him to accidentally touch a glowing stick, Eddie's world doesn't just change—it shatters.
Summoned by a disembodied head, Eddie discovers that the homeless people of New York are actually powerful wizards in disguise—and he's just become one of them.
The apocalypse is scheduled for Tuesday, and New York is about to become a literal nightmare. To save the city, Eddie must trade his badge for a staff, master impossible magic, and hunt down a "Great Evil" before his first day on the supernatural beat becomes his last.
Winner of the National Indie Excellence Award, The Wizards of Central Park West is a high-stakes urban fantasy perfect for fans of The Dresden Files and Rivers of London.
