Calling the Daughters invites us to step into a sacred wisdom circle of mothers, elder women and daughters as they journey together and dive into the essential, yet often difficult conversations of womanhood - spirituality, sexuality, purpose and death. Through inspiring stories, poetry and heartfelt ceremonial guidance, Judy brings to life the powerful experiences of young women - the daughters - who volunteered to be guided, mentored and initiated into womanhood by their trusted and chosen circle of elder women. Judy offers many tools for creating initiatory circles that provide the emotional support young women need to cross over the threshold into their adult lives.
