The Life of Christ, 1

Every Christian should thrill at the reading of the Gospel Accounts. By placing the events of Jesus' life in the time sequence in which they took place, David Roper takes us on a learning experience that views every part of Jesus' recorded life, covering His words, conversations, and deeds with daily-living applications interspersed to challenge the reader to live the way Christ lived. Roper makes the life of Christ burn in our hearts with his geography of Palestine, the manners and customs of its people, and with word-pictures of the various groups of people who surrounded Jesus. This volume brings before us not only the message that Christ brought to us from the Father, but also the sights and sounds, the dust and the living conditions, the days and nights, that formed the environment of His life. No one who thoughtfully listens to this two-volume set can remain the same person. Who could be unchanged after walking with Jesus, listening to His teachings, watching Him interact with the people of His time, and witnessing His death and resurrection?
