Cooked

I’m Lucie Rizzo. I know big business can be brutal, but I learned how to handle the heat from the best—my mob boss father. Instead of cooking the books, I’m busy cooking up my next big business expansion. The only problem? My BFF-turned-business partner, Ro, isn’t exactly on board. She’s the creative genius (and, let’s be honest, the boobs) behind our operation, but I’ve got the business smarts, and this venture smells like sweet success. All we need is the right investor.

Enter French chef Antoine Durand, the guy who made casseroles sexy and built a billion-dollar empire with his secret recipe. He’s got the reputation and the cash to turn my dream into reality. After giving him a taste of my proposal, just when he’s ready to bite, his restaurant catches fire. In the chaos, someone steals his priceless recipe.

The number one suspect? Me, of course. Because apparently, in this town, you can’t outrun your criminal connections. Sure, I’m a mob princess, but I’m no thief—and definitely no blackmailer. Someone’s got serious beef with the chef, and I need to figure out who before Antoine puts Coco Barknell out of business and me behind bars.
