About the Book
Angel of the Battlefield is a poetry in praise of Clara Burton who was a nurse, humanitarian, founder and first president of the American Red Cross. She was a self-taught nurse who contributed immensely in nursing the military men affected by the American Civil War. She was honored with a U.S. commemorative stamp issued in 1948.
