In the peaceful land of Pallelonia, sad Queen Lesinda yearns in vain for a child of her own. Then a wise old woman living deep in the forest tells the queen of a white rose growing in an enchanted grove. The magic rose will grant Lesinda her wish, if only she can follow the old woman's instructions to the letter, but alas! The spell sets off a chain of events that conjures the terrible Red Prince, whose dreadful deeds and ghastly appetites will threaten the very future of Pallelonia itself... Beautifully written and enchantingly told, this is a fun fairy-tale perfect for car trips and bedtimes.
