His pursuit of her was fun...
He’s a man ready to fulfill his obligation to produce an heir. She’s a woman that helped his wounded cousin with him. They overnight in a deserted cabin caring for the cousin. That night changes their world. He’s drawn to her. He wants her. She doesn’t understand the tug to him. He decides they must marry because her reputation was compromised. She thinks he’s ridiculous. His pursuit is wonderful. She cannot deny she’s drawn to him but won’t make it easy. I loved this couple. Their courtship never bored. He is manly with an arrogance that is well deserved. He has met his match in her and loves it. She is strong willed and able to see him clearly. Their romance was a fun ride. The narrator is superb. The words just roll over you sweeping you into the story. The author peppers the phrase “raised a brow” throughout this book. If you turned into a drinking game, you’d be sloshed quickly!
