“Dark, edgy, and thrilling in a completely unexpected way.”

Lisa Renee Jones, New York Times bestselling author

Enter a world equal parts Dexter and 50 Shades in this first, award winning erotic thriller from A.R. Torre!

My life is simple, as long as I follow the rules.

1. Don't leave the apartment. 2. Never let anyone in. 3. Don't kill anyone.

I've obeyed these rules for three years. But rules were made to be broken.

    Not for the Timid

When I started this book, I thought it was going to be pure smut loaded with visceral descriptions of death, pedophilia, and twisted kink. Then, it arcs wide into the crime thriller genre as camgirl Deanna\Jessica seeks out a client in the fear that he is an actual pedophilic murderer who is about to strike again. Spotting an amber alert for a girl the same age and with the same name as her client has her use in their sessions, she fights her every urge to dash out the door immediately and manages to calm herself, form a plan, then to go on the hunt. Fans of the books and wildly successful Showtime series Dexter will love this book. Deanna struck me as a female version of Dexter Morgan. Only difference is that she didn’t have her own Harry to provide her with a code. She forms it on her own and manages to funnel her bloodlust into a force for justice. She buries herself in her webcam work, much the same way that Dexter does with his forensics work (and then family life). But when others are hurt by her inaction, she jumps into the fray as the unsuspected judge, jury, and executioner in order to save others from facing the same fate as the previous victims. This book is not for the timid. That’s for sure. It’s also not for those who are opposed to a book laden with explicit details of the life of a camgirl, as well as the many sexual fetishes that people exhibit. But this is one heck of a thrill ride of a crime thriller.
