Day of Reckoning

A masterful thriller from bestselling author Jack Higgins When international crime boss Jack Fox orders that journalist Katherine Johnson be killed, he brings down the wrath of the dead woman’s ex-husband: Blake Johnson, head of the covert White House department known as The Basement. Along with Sean Dillon, Johnson sets out for revenge, determined to bring Fox’s empire of crime crashing down. They follow Fox’s money trail around the globe, leaving the shreds of his business behind them. But Fox isn’t known as a man to back away from a threat, and Johnson and Dillon know they’re in for a fight unlike any they’ve faced before. Fox is unaccustomed to his enemies being so close on his heels, so he unleashes his own brand of revenge—brutal, swift, and deadly. “Another page-turner from the master...one of the fastest-moving thrillers Higgins has penned for some time. It isn't just Higgins at his best, it is him at his most inventive and impressive.” —Oxford Times
