“Hayes delivers muscular prose, sniper-round accurate dialogue, and enough superb and original plotting to fill three volumes. He balances it all with the dexterity of the accomplished storyteller that he so obviously is. I Am Pilgrim is simply one of the best suspense novels I’ve read in a long time.”

David Baldacci, #1 New York Times bestselling author

Interesting facts in a flat and unconvincing story

While the story builds on some pretty interesting information, it is sorely lacking in literary prowess. The characters are flat, inconsistent and unconvincing, the story has some obvious holes in it. Worst are the sentimental soul searching scenes where the otherwise tough battle hardened veteran agonizes completely out of character over 9/11 victims. If you like Dan Brown and do not mind that this attempt to mimic him is not very well executed, you may like this book. For me it was certainly not the right cup of tee.
