Great story, great narration!
Great book! A story about WWII, orphans, and the holocaust that's narrated by Death hardly seems like the recipe for a good time, but somehow this book managed to be heartfelt, funny, sad, and meaningful without being depressing. The writing is full of imagery and wit, and the narration is really enjoyable. I found the storytelling style very creative - new takes on a very documented time in history letting you see familiar themes from another perspective. Audio was a great fit for this book as the narrator seemed to really have fun with the characters and German slang. Highly recommend!
