A mysterious island.

An abandoned orphanage.

A strange collection of very curious photographs.

It all waits to be discovered in Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, an unforgettable novel that makes for a thrilling listening experience. As our story opens, a horrific family tragedy sets sixteen-year-old Jacob journeying to a remote island off the coast of Wales, where he discovers the crumbling ruins of Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children. As Jacob explores its abandoned bedrooms and hallways, it becomes clear that the children were more than just peculiar. They may have been dangerous. They may have been quarantined on a deserted island for good reason. And somehow—impossible though it seems—they may still be alive.

A spine-tingling fantasy, Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children will delight adults, teens, and anyone who relishes an adventure in the shadows.

Includes a bonus PDF of photographs and letters from the book

    Great story, awful narrator

Miss Peregrine and the Peculiars are obviously popular due to the recent film but, as I have not seen it, I came to the novel with no knowledge. I was pleasantly surprised therefore, to find it a fun filled fantasy romp which I would have really enjoyed if not for the awful narration; can someone please tell Jesse Bernstein either to actually meet and English or Irish person and listen to how they speak or, and preferably, just not to bother. Whoever taught him how to do accents ought to be sacked!

    Interesting and Dark

I am not going to lie. The only reason I read this book was because the movie was coming out and I was curious. The story is fairly interesting, a strange mix of the macabre and sweet, innocence. I wondered if it would be something my almost 9 year old could read but it is decidedly a young adult novel for its language and descriptive visual imagery. The narrator's voice was not my favorite for the book. I felt the female characters could have been performed better and his voice was bit adenoidal. I tend to prefer deeper tones. Highly recommend!
