The Duchess of Jewels: Emeralds

Forty years after her death Wallis, the Duchess of Windsor, is still very visible… in movies, fashion spreads, and in the jewelry word. The woman for whom a king gave up his crown still fascinates us. But why Wallis? What was it about a stern looking middle aged woman that so fascinated a royal? At last, we might learn her secrets…

What if in her final days Wallis sat on her bed in a locked room on the outskirts of Paris and secretly recorded the truth of exactly what happened, how she captured a king… she told him stories. Not just any stories, but erotic stories based on her long ago travels in 1920s China.

And for many of his favorite stories the Duke of Windsor commissioned jewelry to create a very visible, but known only to the two of them, way of keeping the erotic current alive.
Wallis tells it all into a scratchy tape recorder, holding a microphone in one bejeweled hand, the other wrinkled hand softly caressing the jewels laid out before her on the quilted bedspread, she reveals the secrets of her erotic technique.

Why now? Because time is of the essence… Wallis knows that she must get her true story out into the world before her controlling lawyer, Maitre Blum, locks her away forever…
