Sherlock Holmes: The Adventure of the Stockbroker’s Clerk

In The Adventure of Silver Blaze, Sherlock Holmes is hired by a young clerk, Hall Pycroft, who has been lured from a solid London job by a suspiciously generous offer from a new firm. The "employer," who looks uncannily like Pycroft, sends him to Birmingham on busywork while a look-alike takes his place at the original firm. Holmes, Watson, and Pycroft arrive in time to find the impostor and his brother—the Beddingtons—caught mid-robbery of the stockbroker's office. The scheme collapses, and the stolen securities never leave the building.
