The Forgotten Winter of Elmswick

Twenty-seven names. One forgotten winter. A town that changed its own history.
When Vrena Noll returns to the quiet English town of Elmswick, she discovers an old notebook hidden inside an abandoned house. Its pages contain unfamiliar names, mysterious markings, and a troubling message:
When the snow remembers, open the northern door.
The notebook points towards the devastating winter of 1862–63, when food shortages, unemployment, and desperate decisions changed the lives of Elmswick's poorest families.
But something does not add up.
Twenty-seven residents have disappeared from important historical records. Railway documents reveal unexplained journeys, an old photograph contains a deliberately damaged face, and surviving witnesses offer conflicting accounts of what happened.
As Vrena investigates, she discovers hidden documents, abandoned railway stations, and evidence connecting her own grandfather to the mysterious events.
Every discovery brings her closer to understanding why Elmswick allowed part of its history to disappear.
Some secrets are buried by time. Others are deliberately erased.
The Forgotten Winter of Elmswick is a historical mystery exploring family secrets, forgotten lives, and the search for truth.
