Fifteen years ago, she watched as her father brutally murdered a woman he had taken captive. As it turned out, there had been many more. Now a Special Agent with the FBI, Allie spends her days hunting down the worst humanity has to offer. Her nights are spent beating back the lingering shadows of her past. Her newest case confronts her with a series of middle-aged women with their faces meticulously cut off. When yet another victim is found murdered and faceless, Allie must call on every shred of instinct and training to track him down. And as the killer shows no signs of slowing his murderous spree, Allie will have to fight once again to prove what a newly minted agent can really do.
