The United States of Che examines Guevara's life while asking a provocative question: What would Che have made of the United States and its unfinished revolution? Born in Argentina, Ernesto Guevara traveled through Latin America as a young medical student and witnessed extreme poverty, exploitation, and political repression. Convinced that these conditions could not be corrected through gradual reform, he embraced armed revolution. His meeting with Fidel Castro led him to join the Cuban revolutionary movement, where he became a commander and helped overthrow the Batista dictatorship.
