Heart of the Forest

Lannon, a lynx fire mage adept, delves deep into the forests near his home village in an attempt to find the source of the recently revived rumors of a nightmarish beast prowling the wilds. The obscure workings of Spirit magic, of which he is a rare wielder, play into this mystery and bring him deeper into the heart of this myth than he could have ever expected. Before long he finds himself caught literally within the jaws of his own hubris and expectations, strung tenuously between blooming emotions that he had no idea had taken root. This beast of the woods, this terror of the night, is much more than just that… and Lannon might be the only person able to peer into those depths.
