Nick Ventner is a drunk with a blatant disregard for others. He's also damned good at hunting creatures that aren't supposed to exist.
For fans of The Mummy (1999) and Indiana Jones: Pulp action adventure with monsters, sarcasm, and whisky.
In Whiteout, Nick faces his most challenging job to date: A high altitude run into the Himalayas in search of the mythical riches of Shangri La. He's joined by his mountain guide, Lopsang, and his testy apprentice, James. However, the sudden arrival of Nick's greatest adversary, Manchester, complicates matters, and pits the two in a race towards the top. As if that weren't enough, something is stalking the slopes, picking off mercenaries one by one.
Featuring death-defying obstacles, hair-raising encounters with creatures from beyond, and a heavy dose of sarcasm along the way, Whiteout is sure to satisfy anyone looking for a fast-paced adventure novel brimming with action, suspense, and imagination. Not to mention the occasional whiskey on the rocks.
Whiteout is Book 1 in the Nick Ventner Adventures. Downpour (Book 2) and A Man of the Mountain (a prequel novella) are also available.
