Our Unanchored Society
This book examines the historical development and societal impact of several modern political ideologies, including progressivism, classical liberalism, and libertarianism. Following the Introduction the first chapter explains the political philosophy of Traditional Conservatism. The second chapter traces the origins of progressive thought to the nineteenth century, examining its connections to socialist theory and its evolution into contemporary movements such as critical social justice and diversity-focused policy frameworks. The third chapter evaluates the social consequences associated with the implementation of progressive policies, drawing on case studies from government, education, and organizational settings. The final chapter analyzes classical liberalism and libertarianism as alternative political frameworks, assessing their philosophical assumptions and social outcomes. Drawing on historical evidence, political theory, and empirical research, the book presents a comparative analysis of ideological systems and their influence on social stability, public institutions, and civic life in Western societies.
