The Lowly Life and Bitter Passion of Our Lord Jesus Christ and His Blessed Mother
In Volume 4, listeners enter the most solemn and beloved mysteries of the Catholic faith. This volume recounts the final weeks of Our Lord's earthly life: His entrance into Jerusalem, Magdalen's anointing, the Last Supper, the washing of the Apostles' feet, the institution of the Holy Eucharist, the Agony in the Garden, Judas's betrayal, the trials before the Jewish leaders, Pilate, and Herod, the scourging, crowning with thorns, Ecce Homo, the Way of the Cross, the Crucifixion, and the burial of Christ. It then follows the triumph of the Resurrection, the disciples on the road to Emmaus, the unbelief of St. Thomas, the Ascension, Pentecost, the first Holy Mass, and the beginning of the Church. The volume closes with the life of the Blessed Virgin Mary after Christ's Ascension, including her dwelling near Ephesus, her devotion to the Way of the Cross, and her death, burial, and glorious Assumption.
