Scales of Flame

The gods gave me a command. The world gave me a war.

Jaeda is no longer waiting for war—it’s drowning in it. Volaach’s corruption spreads like a plague, swallowing kingdoms, shattering armies, and staining the land with Darkness. Not even Drakh’s strength can halt the Volaachi advance. And I, bound to Vaya’la, the Great Dragon of Life, will not be enough to stop it.

Under High Dane Auldren’s command, Eldreth and I journey the Old Road to summon the clan leaders to Rihtlond’s heart for our wedding—a symbol of unity, a spark of hope.

A smoke screen. A deception designed to gather the Great Council and bring the Riht to war. But while rulers scheme and alliances tremble, a greater threat unfolds.

Darkness bleeds from the Dream Realm, warping the world itself. At Vaya’la and Tin’nen’s behest, Bale and I are charged with an impossible command: seek the Great Doors between realms—and close them. No matter the sacrifice.

Caught between love and destiny, survival and duty, I must choose what I am willing to lose.

Because saving Jaeda may demand more than my life. It may demand my heart.
