The Lesson Plan

The Lesson Plan is the first novel in my Robert Klayman Crime Thriller Series. It follows the path Bob Klayman takes from substitute teaching to an apprenticeship with a private detective before setting off on his own to hunt down a brutal murderer. He journeys into a world of corruption as he cuts through the entrenched bureaucracy of a Los Angeles school district, rife with sinister players who hide behind educational façades. The action takes place at the turn of this century, before the internet and cell phones monopolized our lives, and when a P.I. had to do some old-fashioned gumshoeing to catch his prey.
