The second book in the Royal Maids series that sees a young woman swap a Welsh mining town for Buckingham Palace!
Rosa Edwards is finally settling in her role as a Royal Maid - but are things as rosy as they seem with her new sweetheart?
December 1944.
Royal Maid Rosa Edwards is finally settled in her role at Buckingham Palace, keeping spirits up behind closed doors while the King and Queen lead the country through the war.
But when her new sweetheart Jerry has a devastating accident her world is suddenly turned upside down. And she is no longer sure she can trust him when he is visited in hospital by a mysterious young lady.
Meanwhile, the new couple that Rose has befriended against Jerry's wishes seem very interested in a role at the palace to fulfil their patriotic duty. But could something more sinister be afoot?
With VE Day on the horizon, it should be a time of love and happiness. Can Rosa and Jerry put aside their differences, and deliver a celebration fit for a King?
