The Adventures of Snook and Gator take place in "Snook's backyard. Snook takes Gator on and adventure enhanced by her imagination. As Snook plays she imagines that she is in a jungle, and swimming in a lake, although the pictures reflect what is actually happening. Gator a calm, German Short-hair Pointer calmly accompanies Snook as she adventures under the willow tree in her backyard.

The Adventures of Snook and Gator takes place in a field with Snook's father present. Snook's father plays fetch with Gator, as Snook explains the importance of Gator getting exercise and practice for hunting.
