The great classic plot line, good vs evil, with a dragon twist. Julie Kagawa does an excellent job creating great characters, who each have their own story to tell. Love all three narrators and the depth they each bring to this listen. Highly recommended to any fantasy lover
The general premise of the story - at least, to aspiring writers like me - is awesome! Dragons as a whole have been done, redone, and overdone. Doesn't change their cool-factor, but still, I've never read (or heard) anything like this. It's not a typical fantasy adventure - though it has plenty of adventure, action, laughs and everything else that makes great stories. The twists are great; the characters are great; the themes of loyalty, love and friendship are great; and even the romance stuff (which is not normally something I would read/listen to) is great. The whole thing is so extraordinarily well-done that I can't wait to see what happens next! I couldn't stand to see it end on a cliff-hanger... oh darn, guess I have another book (books?) to look forward to! To summarize this story in one word: awesome!
