FUGITIVE

FUGITIVE

At twenty two, I stood before the highest naval authority in Peru with proof of his betrayal: a six month assignment that had turned into a two year sentence I had never agreed to.

The documents were clear. The deception was undeniable.

But the admiral refused to listen.

So I threw my cap at the admiral.

What happened next transformed me, in a single afternoon, from a decorated serviceman into a fugitive.

I ran. Across the base. Past the gates. Out of the country that same day.

This is the story of how institutional injustice ignites rebellion, how a split second act of defiance can exile you from everything you know, and how one explosive moment became the catalyst for an entirely different life, one I could never have imagined.

Some escapes are not only physical. Some forge who you become.
