During World War II, Hollywood superstar James Stanford travels to the Pacific as part of a USO tour meant to raise the spirits of Allied troops. But on the remote Stryker Island, a carefully planned Japanese operation turns the visit into something far more dangerous.

Stanford is kidnapped and taken aboard The Megumi, a Japanese submarine commanded by Captain Mitsou Fujikama, a disciplined officer devoted to his country, his crew, and an uncompromising code of honor.
