入婿十万両 / The Son-in-Law Who Brought 100,000 Ryo

Merchant-born Asajirō enters a samurai family as a son-in-law in order to rescue the bankrupt Tadotsu domain.

Despised by the young warriors and rejected by his proud wife Fuyu, he silently endures humiliation while searching the domain's records for a solution.

He eventually secures one hundred thousand ryō from his own family and presents a complete plan for financial reform.

When drunken samurai attack him, the supposedly gentle merchant reveals formidable martial skill. Fuyu witnesses the encounter, and her contempt begins to change.

After saving the domain, Asajirō attempts to leave—but Fuyu has finally decided that he is truly her husband.
