A child-friendly audio-drama adventure for young children that fires the imagination while gently conveying important values such as friendship, courage and love. Ideal for children aged four to ten. On Christmas Eve, Klara receives a nutcracker from her godfather, Drosselmeyer. That night she dreams that the Nutcracker, with an army of toy soldiers, battles the wicked Mouse King and his forces. Klara helps him, and the Nutcracker turns into a handsome prince. Together they travel through a snowstorm to the Land of Sweets and celebrate a delicious festival with the Sugar Plum Fairy. Or was it all just a dream? Tchaikovsky's classical ballet music is woven in gently for the very youngest. The much-loved melodies carry listeners through the children's audio drama and show how comforting and strengthening music can be. Ideal for family time, afternoon activities and bedtime routines.
