Journey To Blue Lake

Synopsis: This book was written to tell a story about perseverance and overcoming your fears. I had lost my dad to leukaemia, I went through a nasty divorce, and in my free time, I began to drink too much. I knew my life was not going in the direction I needed it to go. I challenged myself to attempt something I've never done, a triathlon and learned to overcome my fear of open water swimming.

Autobiography: I'm from Portland, Oregon and was a gymnast for over 20 years. I had a gymnastics scholarship to the University of Iowa and, upon graduation, toured with the Bud Light Daredevils (trampoline slam dunk team) for 5 years. I completed my first triathlon in 2012 and my first Ironman in 2018. I have boy/girl twins who are 22, and I'm currently retired from the IT industry after 27 years.
