Marine sniper Nick Lassiter expects a routine coffee run-not an armed robbery, a heroic tackle, and a bullet in his backside fired by Ashleigh Desmond.

Ashleigh is a carpenter, a pastor's daughter, and an excellent shot under normal circumstances. Horrified by her mistake, she appoints herself Nick's caretaker.
