Between the Tracks of Time

Maya returns to Harborline Central for one last recording project, expecting to archive the station's old sounds, close her grandmother's laundromat, and leave again before the past can catch her. Instead, she finds Lucas, the train driver she has not faced in ten years, and the closed platform where their friend Jamie died after a reckless teenage dare. As renovation crews prepare to seal off the old yard access, Maya and Lucas walk back through the station's hidden routes, broken lights, old cassette tapes, yellow safety lines, and the memories each of them reshaped to survive. What begins as an audio documentary becomes something more personal: a correction, a confession, and a way to remember Jamie as more than the final seconds of his life.
