The Banking Conspiracy (Sherlock Holmes and His American Adventures, Episode 4)

When Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson only by chance escape an arson attack at the Waldorf Hotel, they are glad to have found new lodgings in the apartment of Hampton Bank. Director Benjamin Hampton, who still feels indebted to Holmes, is pleased that both are now apparently safe from the long arm of retribution by the New York Police. For precisely this reason, he confronts Holmes with a case requiring special care: a secret banking meeting in the state of Georgia was supposed to remain secret. But when one of the participants doesn't return to New York, that plan fails, and Hampton sets his tenants Holmes and Watson on the case. Once again, no 'vacation in America' for the two friends from London…
