The Rancher's Daughter
On the wide grass of Cottonwood Valley, a man's word used to mean something.
Not anymore.
After the sudden death of her father, Rachel Calder finds herself alone at the head of the Bar-C Ranch. The cattle are hers, the land is hers-and so are the enemies that come with it.
Some men want her ranch.
Some men want her gone.
And a few would rather see her buried in the prairie dust.
Two riders arrive in the valley at the same time.
One is a quiet drifting gunman with a past he doesn't discuss.
The other is a hard trail rider who claims he once rode with Rachel's father.
Both men say they're there to help.
But when rustlers start cutting fences and gunfire echoes across the valley, Rachel learns a hard truth about the frontier:
Trust can be as dangerous as a six-gun.
And the wrong choice could cost her everything.
