Magical Stone

Johnny and Sam were just two ordinary boys in a quiet town, worried about school pictures and English tests. But their lives changed forever the night a flash of red light lit up the woods behind their houses.

When they venture into the forest to investigate, they find an impact crater containing a glowing red rock the size of a bus. But this is no ordinary meteor. As they watch in terror, the "rock" unfolds into a giant, metallic, eight-legged entity. After a narrow escape, the boys realize that the alien visitor isn't here to destroy-it's here to help.

From a magically repaired bicycle to a garden shed transformed into a futuristic bedroom, the alien, calling itself Schrank, begins to "adjust" the boys' lives. But as a mysterious substitute teacher named Mr. Killjoy starts sniffing around their classroom for "friends from out of town," Johnny and Sam realize that keeping a giant space spider a secret is the hardest test they'll ever have to pass.
