Faith without action is dead - if you claim to have great faith, good …but if you can have actions accompanied by your great faith, it's so much better! It's all for the Glory of God for whatever we do. God rewards those who are willing to extend a helping hands, particularly to those who are poor and needy, also the broken-hearted. What good does that do when we know people around us are in need and we just simply say to them, 'God bless you'…will they feel God's love because we bless them? Jesus himself came down to earth, being the servant to serve those in great needs, if we are truly God's people, we shall also do likewise. God wants nothing less than to give us true freedom in Him that we can live free from any sins. It requires us to repent, to be truthful in our walk with God. Sin brings us spiritual death in which it is the very opposite of God's will to us - God wants to bless us with all good things. We are to shake off all the sins ensnaring our lives, come to God with bold confidence, knowing that God will help us to repent and He will graciously forgive us. Our heart does matter much to God for our God is a God of 'heart'.
Are our prayers focused on us OR on God's Kingdom?
We need to make sure our heart is 'right' with God before expecting our prayers got answered. Our confidence shall come from God alone - all we need to do is to put our total trust in Him - it is His abilities we trust and not ours. We need not give credits to ourselves for all that we do, God shall receive all glories and honours. Having Godly confidence is therefore essential for our prayer life.
