That Which The Deep Heart Knows tells the story of an imperial prince and a simple tavern girl and of a love that challenged all conventions. Against all odds, against the sinister machinations of an evil emperor and his wicked empress, the prince and his lover must venture all to make a path to the throne that is rightfully his. To lose is to lose everything. To win and to enlist the help of the great god, Tio, is the only possible path to survival and to a life in which they might live securely together. But not every nature is fitted to the wielding of power, as the tavern girl may deny, but which the deep heart knows.
