Enjoyable and Entertaining
This has been on my TBR list for years! It was pretty entertaining and a unique concept. Jinkies though, it sure does feel like an inexperienced Mystery Incorporated kind of sleuth gang in the beginning. I was questioning finishing it. However, around the halfway mark it starts to get good and the pace really picked up. In the audio, I liked when the “music” played as the intro to the Orsk commercials describing the “furniture”. They were entertaining and thankfully I had the Kindle version to follow along with to see all the descriptions as well as listen to them(Bodavest-Boasting several advantages over traditional forms of restraint, Bodavest confines the penitent and opposes the agitated movement of blood toward the brain, forcing the subject into a state of total immobility, conducive to self-reflection and free of stressful outside stimuli.) Each chapter begins with a type of furniture to introduce the adventure. Considering our current circumstances, I had to giggle at the quote just before the seance, “There will be no unsanitary hand holding”. LOL - This was a quick read/listen and very entertaining. It was definitely a fun and different kind of story considering the creative “furniture”, commercials, and warehouse location. I can totally picture this taking place in an IKEA store(which I have gotten lost in completely exhausted and in tears before finally finding my way out!). It was worth the read/listen!
