The Defenders

In a future shaped by nuclear war, humanity has retreated deep underground, leaving autonomous robots to continue the conflict on the surface. For years, the machines known as "leadys" have been trusted to fight on humanity's behalf while the planet remains uninhabitable. When doubts begin to surface about the true state of the war, a small group of officials ventures above ground to uncover the truth. What they discover challenges everything they have been told and raises unsettling questions about control, perception, and whether the machines entrusted to protect humanity have redefined their mission.
